You should see my closet right now. Black, gray, navy, cream. There are 2 shirts that don’t fit this color scheme and I look at them daily and think, eh too bright, what do I wear with it. You see I’ve gotten into this color rut. Black is slimming, and I just had a baby. (oh wait, it’s been 18 months and I can’t use that excuse?) Grey is just my favorite color in so many things. I most definitely am a chameleon in my gray-walled house with my gray clothes and my gray bags. Can we say gray problem? Cream has just reentered my life. It feels a bit brighter and refreshing, and navy just compliments my favorite gray so much, so I feel it’s just a given.
This family has color figured out. I absolutely love their outfit choices each time I capture them. You may remember Marissa & Ben’s family pictures here. They rock it every single time.
I think it’s a given that I love shooting in nature. Fields and sun, and this girl’s heart is happy. I get really nervous when I haven’t seen a location. The address to this was smack dab in the middle of a subdivision and I just couldn’t picture this in Peoria, IL. This place did not disappoint. The wildflowers, oh the wildflowers. Yes, please.
And at the end of the shoot, I couldn’t get enough. I had to grab Marissa’s sweet daughter and capture a few of her with her flowers. Just recently she was badly burned. Say a few prayers for her, she’s such a sweet thing.
Thanks for letting me capture your family! I loved seeing you all again!
